Belo Horizonte - Pampulha

On Avenida Otacílio Negrão de Lima is a famous building by Niemer, the Museu de Arte de Belo Horizonte. The Museum, originally built in 1940, has pictures, sculpture, prints, ceramics and video films of various artists, including Di Cavalcanti, Volpi and Portinari.

The parabolic form of the roof anticipates architectural solutions later applied by Niemeyer in Brasília.
