The Historic Lyme Village offers a glimpse into the past. The site is designed to "Preserving Yesterday for Tomorrow", which is the slogan used by the association that undertook the project to restore these old buildings. One of the main highlights of Historic Lyme Village is the 1882 John Wright Mansion. There are also numerous other homes and shops, a church, and schoolhouse, most from around the mid 19th Century. Each building has its own unique character.
