Sint-Catharinenkerk
Sint-Catharinenkerk was built in the 16th C. by Rombout Keldermans, its 105m/345ft high tower making it a landmark for miles around. The 16 stained glass windows in the choir and transepts are by Bernard van Orley.
Inside the church the splendid mausoleum of Antoon van Lalaing and his wife Elisabeth van Culembourg, a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture by Jean Mone, stands out amongst the other tombs. The superb choir stalls with their life-like figures were the work of Albrecht Gelmers and date from between 1532 and 1548.
