Coo Attractions
Until the 18th C. the Amblève formed an enormous curve near the next village of Coo, where the arms of the river almost touched. The monks of Stavelot without ado pierced through this narrow place and there appeared two raging picturesque waterfalls which have become a major tourist attraction. People come every year to see the illuminations of the cascades and to enjoy the restaurants, the canoe trips and the amusement park "Télécoo" with a chair-lift to the viewpoint of the Montagne de Lancre.
Kayakcoo
Two journeys are available by kayak. The first is a 9km trip to Chenaux and the second is a 23km trip to Lorce. A bus is available to return river goers to Coo.
The admission cost listed is for a one-person kayak running the 9km trip. Admission costs for the other trips are 750 BEF for a two-person kayak running to cheneux and 800 BEF and 1,100 BEF for one-seaters and two seaters running to Lorce.
