Battle of the Boyne Celebrations
This annual festival includes the biggest and most famous annual parade in Northern Ireland. The day-long festival pays tribute to the historic Protestant victory at the Boyne River in the 17th C. Political and religious events intermingle with street parties and the parade to offer a look at Irish pride.
Cinemagic International Film Festival for Young People
This highly-acclaimed festival, Cinemagic, takes place in various venues in early December.

Events include feature-length screenings, previews and seminars.

Civic Festival
This annual month-long event runs from early May to early June and incorporates the two-week French Festival.

Also included is the Lord Mayor's Show, with a huge street parade and colorful floats.
Festival at Queen's
This three-week festival takes place in October and is one of Europe's top arts festivals. Events include operas, orchestral and chamber concerts, modern dance and ballet performances, plays, and film screenings. The festival tries to bring in performers from throughout the world and to include a diverse repertoire in order to appeal to more people. The venues are also numerous, and include the Grand Opera House and the Ulster Hall, as well as other historical buildings throughout the city.

Folk Festival
This week-long festival takes place in mid-June and includes folk music, poetry and dancing. Participants include international names as well as local ones.
Holywood Jazz & Blues Festival
This three-day festival takes place in early June and showcases acclaimed and upcoming musicians from Britain and Ireland.
Horticultural Fair
This two-day event takes place in mid-September and includes more than flowers. There is also bee-keeping and craft and trade stands.
International Rose Trials
The rose trials run from July to September.

King's Hall Autumn Fair
The King's Hall Autumn Fair in Belfast takes place in the fall.
Musical Festival
This annual two-week festival runs from late February to mid-March and includes speech, drama and musical performances as well as youth competitions.

The festival has been taking place since 1911.
Spring Flower Festival
This two-day festival takes place in late April, and includes the participation of daffodil societies and other floral groups. The event also includes trade stands and craft stalls.

This two-week festival runs from late May to early June.
West Belfast Festival
This week-long event is Ireland's biggest community festival and takes place in early to mid-August.
