At the corner of the Basle Marktplatz and Freie Strasse is the Renaissance Geltenzunfthaus (1578). In the same street (No. 25) the guild-house of the locksmiths (Ruman Faesch 1488), charmingly decorated in Baroque style in 1733, now houses a restaurant. The guild-house of the Hausgenossen (No. 34), has attractive wall-paintings.
