Baltimore - Basilica of the Assumption

South of the Walters Art Gallery, in Cathedral Street, is the Basilica of the Assumption, the oldest Roman Catholic cathedral in the United States, built in the time of Archbishop John Carroll. In the crypt are the tombs of Archbishop Carroll (1735-1815) others.
