In the Kurgarten in Bad Lauchstädt are the old mill-pond, the Herzogspavillon (Duke's Pavilion; 1735, probably by J. M. Hoppenhaupt), the Quellpavillon (Spring Pavilion) and Badepavillon (Bathing Pavilion), both 1776, the Kursaal (with murals by G. A. Pellicia to the design of K. F. Schinkel, 1823) and the Colonnades (a timber-built promenade of 1775-87 with architectural painting and shopkeepers' stalls; concerts in winter).
