Schrocken Attractions

The village of Schröcken (1,269m/4,165ft; pop. 220) is situated in the extreme southwest of the Bregenzer Wald; its parish church of the Assumption was built in 1876 in the Nazarene style on the site of an earlier church.
Hochtannbergstrasse
Schröcken is the starting point of the Hochtannbergstrasse, a mountain pass flanked by the Hochkünzelspitze (2,397m/7,865ft), Braunarlspitze (2,649m/8,691ft) and Widderstein (2,533m/8,311ft). Beyond the pass (1,679m/5,509ft) the road leads down eastwards to Warth (1,494m/4,902ft), where the Flexenstrasse branches into the Arlberg.
