Rätikon Ridge Path

There are numerous mountain huts for the benefit of climbers in the Rätikon, the principal ones being linked by a fine ridge path which runs from the Nenzinger Himmel in the Gamperdona valley by way of the Strassburger Hütte (2,700m/8,860ft), near Brand, to the Schesaplana and then down to the Douglass-Hütte (1,979m/6,493ft) on the charmingly situated Lüner See (1,970m/6,464ft; see Bludenz), on to the Lindauer Hütte (1,764m/5,788ft) and the Tilisuna-Hütte (2,211m/7,254ft) near the little Tilisuna-See (2,102m/6,897ft) - both easily reached from Tschagguns in the Montafon - and down into the Gargellental. Some of the Rätikon peaks can be climbed without great difficulty on relatively easy paths, but there are also some very difficult ascents, which should only be attempted by experienced climbers.
