Rätikon Massif
The Rätikon range, of a character very different from that of the neighboring Bregenzer Wald, is a massif with sheer rock walls and bizarrely shaped peaks sandwiched between the Ill valley (Montafon), the Rhine and the Prättigau in Switzerland, on the southern borders of the province of Vorarlberg. The main ridge of the Rätikon forms the Austro-Swiss border; only the Austrian part of the Rätikon is described here.
