Lech and Zürs - Skiing
Lech and Zürs are the most expensive of the well-known Arlberg ski resort towns but tucked away at the end of a valley which is a dead end during the winter months means the two areas have less crowded slopes and shorter lift lines. With Lech and Zürs at 1,450 meters and 1,720 meters above sea level, the altitude means that the two tend to get more powder and have a longer ski season than other resorts. The marked trails are fine for beginners and intermediates, while experts like the area for some of the best off-piste runs in the Alps. Both resorts have excellent accommodation and cuisine and draw Europe's upper crust.
