Kalter Berg

One of the finest cross-country routes in the Verwall group is from Stuben am Arlberg by way of the Kaltenberg-Hütte (2,100m/6,890ft) up the Kalter Berg (2,900m/9,515ft). In the southern part of the range, accessible from St Anton am Arlberg, is the Heilbronner Hütte (2,320m/7,612ft), situated on the Scheidsee in an excellent skiing area. This is an important staging point on the popular route through the Verwall to the Silvretta group.
