Grundlsee Attractions

Northeast of Bad Aussee lies the Grundlsee (709m/2,326ft), in a beautiful setting at the foot of the Totes Gebirge amid the green forest-framed valley. The lake is 6km/4mi long by 1km/0.75mi wide and is up to 64m/210ft deep (open-air pool). The village of Grundlsee straggles along the shores of the lake.
Grundlsee offers various activities for children, nature enthusiasts, swimmers, and those that enjoy the outdoors.
Daffodil Festival
This four-day festival takes place in late May.
Toplitzsee and Kammersee - Three Lakes Tour
The village of Gössl, at the east end of the Grundlsee, is the starting-point of the "three lakes tour", taking in the Grundlsee, the Toplitzsee and the little Kammersee (by motorboat; no cars allowed near the Toplitzsee). The excursion there and back lasts about two hours.
