Lismore Attractions
Lismore (pop. 40,120) is the largest town in the Northern Rivers district of New South Wales and the center of an intensively cultivated agricultural region (dairy farming, tropical fruits, beef, fodder plants, timber).
The town was founded by loggers around 1840 and in the 19th C was an important timber-shipping port.

The town is charmingly situated on the Wilsons River, surrounded by hills with rain forest reserves (many picnic areas).
