Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park
The Katherine Gorge national Park is famous for its scenic series of Gorges. The Park is also home to a diversity of birdlife and fresh-water crocodiles. Visitors can take boat trips, walking tours and helicopter flights over the Park.

The park takes its name from a series of limestone caves with stalactites and stalagmites, inhabited by bats and snakes. The surrounding terrain has much weathered karstic formations.
The caves can be seen only on guided tours during the dry season.

Best time to visit is between May and August. Caves may be closed due to flooding between December and April.
