Round Healesville there are beautiful walking trails and scenic roads. The 5000km Bicentennial National Trail for walkers and riders runs from Healesville to Cooktown in northern Queensland. Healesville Sanctuary
Outside Healesville, on Badger Creek Road, is the famous Healesville Sanctuary, a wildlife park covering 32ha designed to be as natural as possible, where all the important Australian species (including platypus) can be seen close up.
