Blackwater Attractions

The population of Blackwater (pop. 8000) consists largely of miners working in the Blackwater Mines to north and south of the town. The coal is conveyed to Gladstone by train and either exported or used in the production of energy (particularly for aluminum smelting). Visitors can see round the Utah Mine.
