Odeion Description
To the east of the Theatre of Dionysos stood the square Odeion built by Pericles, where new excavations are in progress. Famed as the finest concert hall in Greece, this was completed in 443 B.C. and rebuilt between 65 and 52 B.C. after its destruction by Sulla in 86 B.C.
