Asheville - Pack Place Education, Arts and Science Center
Pack Place Education and Arts Center in Asheville is home to the Asheville Museum of Art, the Colburn Earth Science Museum, the Diana Worth Theatre, and the Health Adventure and YMI Cultural Center. This multi-purpose building was designed to be the cultural hub of downtown Asheville and it has become just that. The man behind the idea for this project was Roger McGuire who lived in Asheville and worked to see his dream become a reality. The Place Education, Arts & Science Center opened in 1992.

Health Adventure
The Health Adventure in Asheville is located in the Pack Place Education, Arts & Science Center. This is a health and science center for children, which deals largely with educating youngsters on health awareness. Children and presented with interactive displays allowing for a fun learning environment. Some of the exhibits include Mr Bones, Nutrispace, Sciencespace and more.

YMI Cultural Center
The YMI Cultural Center is one of many spots in Asheville for artistic and musical pursuits. This fine facility is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is easily located by visitors owing to its place in the center of downtown near City Hall. The YMI Cultural Center also exhibits numerous displays, primarily dealing with the history of African Americans in North Carolina. The predecessor to the YMI Cultural Center, the Young Men's Institute was established in this location in 1893.
