Arlington - Netherlands Carillon

The Netherlands Carillon in Arlington contains 49 bells and was presented to the United States in 1954 by the Netherlands to show appreciation for American aid during World War II. Upon the 50th anniversary of this event some of those people responsible for the original gift decided to restore the bells. Upon completion of this project a 50th bell was added to mark 50 years of freedom.
