Arlington - Iwo Jima Memorial
Also known as the Marine Corps War Memorial, this 78-foot long statue is a tribute to all the marines who've have died in combat since the Corps was founded in 1775. It depicts the Joseph Rosenthal photo of five marines and one sailor raising the flag on Mount Suribachi.

From April to September there are concerts on Saturdays from 2-4 p.m. given next to the memorial at the Netherlands Carillon, a 49 bell musical instrument.
The Marine Silent Drill Team, Color Guard and Drum and Bugle corps hold the Sunset Parade at 7 p.m. from the last Tuesday in May to the third Tuesday in August.
