Arlington is located just west of Boston. In the early 1900's a trolley line joined Arlington with Boston and the town became a city suburb. Arlington is home to the only black Freemason Cemetery in the country, the Prince Hall Mystic Cemetery.

The Chamber of Commerce is located in the Historic Jefferson Cutter House.
