The Dallas County Museum features a large collection of negatives featuring families who lived in and around the Fordyce area. The collection comes from the Alexander Studio. Also on display are Indian relics, Civil War memorabilia and other items relating to the history of the town and county.
The Dallas County Museum is housed in a 1907 building with exhibition space and an interior that reflects the Craftsman style of the early 1900s. The ceilings are tall, the floors are pine, and recently they have added a grand, native oak staircase.
Paul "Bear" Bryant attended high school in Fordyce and his legendary career is highlighted as the "Winningest Coach in Football History".
