Portal Attractions

Portal is a small town located on the northeast corner of the Coronado National Forest in Arizona. It is an ideal location for bird watching and nature lovers.
Cave Creek Canyon
Cave Creek Canyon in Portal is the home of the Southwestern Research Station of the American Museum of Natural History.

Cave Creek features spectacular scenery, world class birdwatching, unique wildlife, and other Forest recreation activities. The soaring cliffs of Cave Creek Canyon are dotted with caves.
Paradise
The 1890's mining settlement of Paradise is now a ghost town, though part of it is still privately owned. Existing ruins include the old town jail.
