Goodyear Attractions
Goodyear is part of the Southwest Valley, along with Avondale, Litchfield Park and Tolleson. Small farms were established in the early 1900s by the Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company to grow Egyptian cotton - a component in tire cords. These farms grew into company towns, including this one, named for its originator.
