Fountain Hills is a community located between Scottsdale and Mesa, famous for its fountain, the highest in the world. Fountain Hills is also ideal for bird-watching, hiking and biking and a farmer's market every Thursday from November through May.
The Fort McDowell Indian Reservation covers 25,000 acres, and has been home to Yavapai, Mohave and Apache Indians since a 1903 deed from Theodore Roosevelt. The community has its own tribal government and operates a number of businesses.

Fountain Hills boasts the largest continuously flowing fountain in the world, which spurts water 560 feet into the air every hour on the hour. The fountain is located in the middle of a man-made lake.
