Bradshaw Mountains
The Bradshaw Mountains are located south of Prescott in the Prescott National Forest. Known as a rich mining area, the Bradshaws reach their highest point at Mount Union, slightly below 8,000 feet.
Bumble Bee
Bumble Bee is a ghost town with restored buildings and a few residents that was once on the Prescott-Phoenix stage line. It was originally known as Snyder's Station. The post office opened in 1879 and the stagecoach station changed its name to Bumble Bee.
Castle Creek Wilderness
Castle Creek Wilderness is part of the Prescott National Forest, situated on the eastern slopes of the Bradshaw Mountains. Its 26,030 acres range between 2,800 feet and 7,000 feet in elevation.
Castle Creek Wilderness is also home to mountain lions, bobcats, black bears, elk, coyotes, rabbits, foxes, skunks, and badgers.

Cleator
Cleator is a small town at the base of the Bradshaw Mountains. Cleator, previously called Turkey Siding, is a ghost town that was established in 1864 when prospectors came to pan for gold.
Crown King
Crown King is a small town in the Bradshaw Mountains which was once a booming mining community. Crown King is now a living ghost town that was originally established in 1875 when the first gold mine was claimed.

Granite Mountain Wilderness
Granite Mountain Wilderness is part of the Prescott National Forest, with 9,700 acres of rugged granite boulders stacked to elevations above 7,600 feet. Mountain lion, bobcat, badger, fox, skunk, coyote, rabbit and mule deer inhabit the area.
There are two main trails in Granite Mountain Wilderness that are used by hikers, hunters and horseback riders.

Mayer
Mayer is located on Highway 69 southeast of Prescott. The town has three locations listed on the National Register of Historic Places: Mayer Apartments, Mayer Business Block, and Mayer Red Brick Schoolhouse.
