Description
Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest is one of six National Forests in Arizona, located in the eastern part of the state. It contains 24 lakes and reservoirs and more than 400 miles of rivers and streams, with elevations ranging from 3,500 to over 11,000 feet. The lakes and streams are great for trout fishing while the trails provide opportunity for horseback riding, mountain biking and hiking.

During the winter months, Apache Sitgreaves National Forest is available for cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and ice fishing.

The main attraction in the Sitgreaves National Forest is the Mogollon Rim while Mount Baldy is the draw for Apache National Forest.
