Colonial buildings

Aracati has a number of handsome 18th century buildings, including the mansion of the Baron of Aracati (Sobrado do Barão de Aracati), which now houses the Museu Jaguaribano (crafts, religious art); the church of the Senhor do Bonfim (1774); and the town's principal church, Nossa Senhora do Rosario (1785).
