The road continues through a gorge, just before which a footpath (10minutes' walk) goes off to the Gouffre des Busserailles (waterfall; admission fee), 104m/114yd long and 35m/116ft deep, and reaches Breuil or Cervinia (2,006m/6,620ft), a winter sports resort which is also popular in summer (bobsleigh run 1,540m/5,082ft long to the Lac Bleu) with fantastic scenery: to the north the mighty peak of the Matterhorn (Monte Cervino; 4,478m/14,777ft; the climb with guide takes 12 hours), to the west the rock wall of the Grandes Murailles (3,872m/12,778ft). From Breuil there is a cableway east to the Plan Maison (2,557m/8,438ft) and from there northeast to the Furggen ridge (3,488m/11,510ft) or alternatively east, either directly or via Cime
