Biot

Biot (pronounced "beeyot), once a chief place of the Ligurians, is a village with steep little streets and bumpy paths climbing up a hill slope. It is noted for its arts and crafts, which include gold and silver work, ceramics, glass-blowing, carving in olive wood, weaving and silk-screen printing. In the Church of Ste-Madeleine-St-Julien are two beautiful altar-pictures from the Nice school and a "Madonna with Rosary" by Louis Bréa.
