Biot

Biot (pronounced "beeyot), once a chief place of the Ligurians, is a village with steep little streets and bumpy paths climbing up a hill slope. It is noted for its arts and crafts, which include gold and silver work, ceramics, glass-blowing, carving in olive wood, weaving and silk-screen printing. In the Church of Ste-Madeleine-St-Julien are two beautiful altar-pictures from the Nice school and a "Madonna with Rosary" by Louis Bréa.

La Chevre d'Or
La Chevre d'Or features a strong architectural layout and a formidable planting arrangement. This is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe.

The Chèvre d'Or Garden was created by Nicole and Pierre Champin from 1950 onwards. Antoinette and Alexander Redelé-Dutilh took over in 1999 to continue the evolution of the garden.
