Antakya - Archeological Museum

Near the bridge over the Asi in Antakya can be found an interesting Archeological Museum. It is notable particularly for its collection of 50 very fine mosaics from Roman houses in the surrounding area - the largest such collection in the world - with lively representations of mythological scenes. The museum also contains a variety of finds from the Amuq Plain (particularly from Tell Açana) and a number of Roman sarcophagi.
