Cunault Description
13km/8mi northwest of Saumur is the beautiful Romanesque abbey church of Cunault (11th-13th C), with an interior notable for its clarity of form. There are remains of Romanesque and Gothic frescoes in the domes of the apses. On the south side of the ambulatory is a reliquary of polychrome wood.
