Riquewihr

The old town of Riquewihr (pop. 1,212) is one of the most popular tourist attractions of Alsace. It is one of the most charming and unspoiled towns, with its well preserved walls and towers and its many Gothic and Renaissance houses (beautiful courtyards).

To view the town of Riquewihr from outside, take a path running through the Schônenberg vineyards from the Tour des Voleurs (Thieves' Tower; 1300), which contains a torture chamber.
