Gorges des Alpes-Maritimes Drive

The best route on the Gorges des Alpes-Maritimes drive to the National Park from the Mediterranean coast is the N202 west of Nice which leads inland up the valley of the Var. From the north the stretch from Gap via Barcelonnette to Auron crosses the highest pass in the Alps, the Col de la Bonette (2,802m/9,196ft).
