Description
Pukwaskwa National Park is 24km /15mi south-east of Marathon on Highway 627.

A vast park of 1900 sq.km / 733 sq.mi on the shores of Lake Superior on the south-west edge of the Canadian Shield, with typical boreal pine forest.

The park center is Hattie Cove, where the visitor center has various displays and can provide information on the park's campsites, canoe routes and wilderness trails. The scenery is particularly pleasant along the shores of Lake Superior on the 64km / 40mi Coastal Trail where there are walks lasting one or several days.
