New Mexico Museum of Space History Description
The Museum of Space History, northeast of Alamogordo, has a number of displays (including missiles and space capsules) illustrating the development of space flight.

Located on the western slope of the Sacramento Mountains, the New Mexico Museum of Space History at Alamogordo has four floors and three subfloors of exhibits. The museum focuses on development of space flight and on New Mexico's pivotal role in man's quest for space. On site are the space museum, Hall of Fame, Planetarium and IMAX Theater.

Astronaut Memorial Garden

The Astronaut Memorial Garden at the New Mexico Museum of Space History pays tribute to the Apollo 1, Space Shuttle Challenger and Columbia astronauts.

Clyde W Tombaugh Omnimax Theater and Planetarium

The Clyde W Tombaugh IMAX Dome Theater and Planetarium is the only IMAX Dome theater in New Mexico. It was built in 1980 and is named after the man who discovered Pluto. Two different films are screened at two hour intervals throughout the day.
