Description
The Etablissement Thermal (thermal baths) in Aix-en-Provence, which is reached from Cathédrale St-Sauveur by following Rue du Bon Pasteur in a southwesterly direction, was built in the 18th century on the foundations of the Roman Baths of Sextius (second century B.C.). The water issues at a temperature of 36°C / 97°F and is used both for drinking and bathing, especially for metabolic disturbances, circulatory disorders, nervous diseases and post- operative complaints.
