Agartala - Ujjayanta Palace
Ujjayanta Palace is located in the heart of Agartala. Built in 1901 by Maharaja Manikya, the Ujjayanta Palace is set on 28ha of parkland with two large ponds.
Ujjayanta Palace was built in Greek Sculpture style with a mixture of other architecture styles found throughout. There are curved wooden ceilings, intricately crafted doors, three domes, and tiled floors.
The exterior of the palace includes pools and fountains, laid out in the patterns of Mughal gardens. In the evening, the palace is lit up with floodlights.
The Ujjayanta Palace currently houses the State Legislative Assembly.
