Abbadia San Salvatore - Crypt

The most impressive feature of the abbey is the Crypt, which was given its present form in 1036 but was probably the original pre-Romanesque church. It was originally divided into 13 aisles. The groined vaulting is borne on columns of varied form, many of them with richly decorated capitals.
