(Local Name: Schloss Hallwil) 1km/ 0.6mi northeast of Boniswil on the north bank of the lake stands Schloss Hallwil (ninth-16th C. Museum; local collection). Countess Wilhelmine von Hallwyl had the moated castle restored at the beginning of the 20th C. with important items going to the Landesmuseum in Zürich, where they are now on display.
