Forest of Rold

(Local Name: Rold Skov) To the south of Rebild National Park stretches one the largest and most unspoiled forest areas in Denmark, the Forest of Rold (Rold Skov), covering an area of 6,400ha/16,000 acres, with many rare trees. In the village of Rold the rebuilt ring of the Miehe circus family has been turned into a circus museum. Old equipment, pictures and other objects are souvenirs of the halcyon days of the circus in the first half of the 20th C.
