Description
(Local Name: Sofarts og Marinemuseum) The Maritime and Naval Museum (Ålborg Sofarts- og Marinemuseum) on the Limfjord, to the northwest outside the town center, is worth a visit. The museum's exhibits portray the development of the Danish merchant fleet particularly over the last 200 years. The navy is also featured. The museum's main attraction is the last submarine to be built in Denmark, the "Springeren", which is exhibited on dry land and open fore and aft so that visitors can walk right through.
